Eye Doc Recruiting is seeking a  full-time Associate Optometrist for private Optometrist practice in Amarillo, Texas. The practice provides primary eye care, refractive, ocular care to the families in Amarillo and the surrounding communities. The practice generally serves the blue-collar, multi-ethnicity demographic, allowing us to search for a long-term fit for our Associate Optometrist position. The practice has a strong percentage of new patients that will allow an incoming optometrist to quickly build a solid patient base.

• Possess a Doctor of Optometry degree
• A current active license issued by the State Board of Optometry in Texas
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Treat high amounts of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, as well as strabismus, and amblyopia.
• Experience in mission work optometry of community-health clinic-based practice is a benefit
• Lucrative quarterly bonus based on production
• Patient load  20-32 per day
• 2 Saturday clinics per month required (9:00-3:00)
• Full paraoptometric staffing ample Days off, no evening hours,
• Health insurance as well as auxiliary insurances (dental, life insurance) Continuing education and travel expenses reimbursement
• Bilingual a plus
