Responsibilities
- Perform patient workups and collect medical histories
- Conduct visual acuity testing and preliminary examinations
- Assist physicians with diagnostic testing and procedures
- Perform ophthalmic imaging and specialized testing as needed
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic
- Deliver outstanding customer service and patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred
- Previous ophthalmology or optometric experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment is a plus
