Optometrist Needed In Orlando, FloridaEye Doc Recruiting is seeking a full-time Optometrist for the best comprehensive medical and surgical Ophthalmology practice, seeing patients in Kissimmee and Orlando, Florida. The medical practice has served its patients and surrounding cities for over 30 years.

This opportunity requires the Optometrist to travel to both locations  30 minutes away from each other.

 

Description: Associate Optometrist in Florida

  • Possess a Doctor of Optometry degree.
  • A current active license issued by the State Board of Optometry in Florida
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

The following are some of the responsibilities of the Optometrist:

  • Patient examinations within the scope of licensure.
  • Timely interpretation of diagnostic tests ordered with appropriate patient notification.
  • Co-management of the medical/surgical patient, according to state law and the by-laws of the practice.
  • Emergency patient examinations.
  • S/P laser and cataract evaluation.
  • Perform retinoscopy for refractions for wheelchair patients, kids, and anyone unable to sit behind a phoropter.
  • Provide contact lens examinations and fittings.
  • Provide guidelines regarding contact lens instruction for insertion and removal, to be performed by appointed clinical staff.
