As an Optical Sales Associate, you will work closely with patients, providers, and the optical team to ensure every patient receives a personalized experience from insurance verification through eyewear selection and final delivery.

Responsibilities

As an Optical Sales Associate, you will:

• Deliver outstanding customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
• Verify vision insurance eligibility and explain available benefits.
• Process optical orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens enhancements that fit their visual needs and lifestyle.
• Educate patients on lens technology, coatings, and eyewear options.
• Coordinate with optical laboratories to monitor order status and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle billing, documentation, and order management with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with doctors and staff to provide seamless patient care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of optical sales or optical retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and sales abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with vision insurance verification is preferred.
