Compensation
This Optometrist Job in Elyria, OH offers a competitive compensation package including:
- $500 per day guaranteed
- OR
- 80/20 production split
- You receive whichever compensation model results in the higher earnings.
Sign-on assistance of up to $5,000 may be available depending on your availability to start.

Schedule
The practice offers an extremely flexible schedule.
Office Hours
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (additional afternoon appointments available if desired)
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Patient appointments are scheduled approximately every 30 minutes, averaging two patients per hour, allowing ample time to deliver quality patient care.
Responsibilities
As the Optometrist, you will:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations
- Diagnose refractive errors and ocular conditions
- Prescribe glasses and contact lenses
- Educate patients regarding eye health
- Develop personalized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Build long-term patient relationships
- Collaborate with experienced clinical staff
- Deliver outstanding patient-centered care
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Active Ohio Optometry License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient-first approach to care
- Ability to perform efficient comprehensive examinations
- Professional and compassionate bedside manner
