• Monday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Part-Time Optician Job Responsibilities

As the Licensed Optician, you will help create an outstanding patient experience by providing professional optical services from frame selection through final dispensing.

Responsibilities include:

• Interpret prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.
• Recommend frames based on each patient’s prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
• Educate patients on lens materials, coatings, and specialty lens options.
• Measure pupillary distance (PD), segment heights, and frame alignment.
• Adjust, repair, and fit eyewear for maximum comfort and performance.
• Prepare and verify eyeglass and contact lens orders.
• Ensure all prescriptions and measurements are accurate before ordering.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming optical dispensary.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every patient interaction.
