Responsibilities

The Ophthalmologist will:

  • Perform comprehensive ophthalmic examinations
  • Diagnose and treat ocular diseases
  • Perform cataract surgery and related procedures
  • Evaluate patients for premium intraocular lens options
  • Diagnose and manage glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and other ophthalmic conditions
  • Collaborate with optometrists and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and surgical options
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Oklahoma Medical License (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
  • Excellent surgical and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
